Grants Awarded for our new toilet

Our cover picture shows the new oak doors to the accessible and standard toilets which are due to be operational by Easter.  This has been a long awaited development which will see the end to portaloo once and for all.

As part of the building of the new toilets, the old toilet block was cleared out and a number of items discovered, dumped, behind church including this tin bath.  Anyone wants to claim it?

We are particularly grateful for two grants that we have received in the last few weeks to assist with this work.  The total cost of the work is £52,000, including VAT which we can reclaim.  The Benefact Trust, who own Ecclesiastical Insurance, awarded us £7,500 whilst the Number 1 Trust, a traditionalist catholic society in the Church of England, awarded us £10,000 to complete the work.  We have a couple of other applications ongoing with the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund and The National Churches Trust.

We are particularly grateful to the Benefact Trust and The Number 1 Trust for their generous support for our work to renew our life and mission at St Agnes.  You can discover more about these charities by clicking their logos below.

Do you remember what the room looked like before the work began?
