On Sunday 22 June at 18:30 join us for Choral Evensong, which will be led by the Liverpool Bach Collective with their Director Philip Duffy.  This is the evening prayer of the church which has been celebrated each day in parish churches and cathedrals for over 1000 years.

Christ tells us in today’s Gospel that he is the Good Shepherd. The cantata builds on this theme and is one of Bach’s loveliest works. It features solos from bass and tenor voices, the latter accompanied by two oboes d’amore, with the usual ensemble and chorus.
