Our Sunday School meets in Church every Sunday at the beginning of the 10am Parish Mass, and after the Greeting and Prayers of Penitence they go into the Church Hall. There is a wide age range among the children. Most of the lessons are from "Forward Teaching." We all enjoy the wide range of activities, the Bible stories, word searches, quizzes, crafts and games etc. We return to Church before Communion. We have three Sunday School Teachers, Beth, Craig and Sandra, who all have CRB certificates. We always welcome new children as members of the Sunday School, and, if they wish, parents may accompany their children.
Our children of secondary school age have just joined the Walsingham Youth Pilgrimage Group along with children from other parishes in Liverpool. This youth group meets once a month at St. Columba’s Church Anfield. Amongst other activities they prepare for the periodic Youth Masses, which use contemporary liturgy and music. At the moment they are working on preparations for a Mass on the eve of the Feast of Christ the King, Saturday 20th November.
There are Children's, Families' and Youth Pilgrimages held each year at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham in Norfolk.
